equine photographer
Equine photography is truly my passion. My goal is "not" to photograph every equestrian I meet but rather to give every equestrian I do work with the individualized attention she deserves allowing her to feel good about herself and comfortable in front of my camera. Capturing the special way you interact with your horse in a relaxed unposed way brings out your unique qualities that are truly you. I will help guide you every step of the way. That is what I do!

My first horse
I was born and raised in Southern California and have never lived anywhere else. I got my very first horse (which was actually a pony) when I was five. I've been horse crazy every since then and have ridden both English and Western. Currently my husband and I compete in the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting and spend time trail riding weekly.

my first camera
I don't actually even know (but I was YOUNG), however, once I started taking photography seriously I got my first "professional" camera. It took me a nano second to figure out I had a passion for photographing girls and their horses. This was the beginning of "Patti Monson Photography" (Est. in 2018)

my free time
I enjoy the simpler things in life - being outdoors is my happy place whether it's mucking stalls, riding, gardening, hiking, doing a photo session, or walking my dog. I also have a love for attending equine photography workshops and being around other like minded people who enjoy horses and photography.

my family
I am married to the best man on earth. I feel so fortunate to not only be married to a man who shares my love for horses and other interests but is someone who is also very supportive of my personal goals and dreams. Together we have four kids and six grandkids.
